These things are bound to happen,
the reason I know not why.
But all may happen to us,
no matter how hard we try.
 
 

I don't know how you handle it,
though we try with all our might.
But when I have it happen,
a poem I try to write.
 
 

So, if you've felt the pain,
of a love that you have lost.
Put it all far behind you,
regardless of what the cost.
 
 

I've also shared your sorrow,
and know what you went through.
As a way of saying I'm sorry,
